WHAT IS HYDROELECTRIC OR HYDROPOWER?
Generating electricity using flowing water (typically from a reservoir held behind a dam or other barrier) to drive a turbine that powers a generator.
WHAT IS THE BENEFIT TO YOU AND WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Residents can now benefit from local renewable generated electricity without producing it themselves. We are currently enrolling Wappingers Falls, NY and Wallkill, NY sites. We also have a third site Salisbury Mills, NY.
WHY HYDROELECTRIC NOW?
For the past 30 years plus, Harry Terbush and Sarah Bower-Terbush have sold power to Central Hudson. Now, with recent changes to NY policy, they can sell directly to customers.
